The HAMPTONS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is branching out, and expanding its presence and services to Southampton and its nearby communities. The Southampton expansion will extend the Festival’s reach in presenting the most exciting, entertaining and intriguing films and programs.

Though the Festival is branching out – it has also been presenting programs in Sag Harbor and Montauk – all the amenities and facilities and programs our audience is used to will remain as well in our East Hampton base.

The Festival has had an ongoing relationship with the Parrish Art Museum where it has presented films and programs during the festival. With the new expansion, a 35 mm projector as well as the digital projector will be utilized, and will enable the Parrish to be a full programming venue each day of the festival. For the first time, festival Spotlight Films will be able to be presented each night in Southampton as well.

The Hamptons Film Fest will also be adding the Southampton Inn as a venue. Here will be based the Hospitality Center, Box Office, VIP Screening Rooms, Kids Lounge, and facilities for special events, receptions and lunches among other activities. Also presented at this location will be the informative panel discussions, classes and workshops for which the Hamptons is well known and applauded.

Among the programs slated for presentation in the new Southampton festival expansion are screenings of Spotlight Films, Festival Films, Golden Starfish Award Competition Films, Shorts and Documentaries.

This new initiative will have a special emphasis on Family Programming and the Hamptons Family Film Festival program will be presented in its entirety in Southampton

“One of the keys to this expansion, which will provide festival programming to the Southampton community of 60,000 people, is our partnership with the Southampton Inn,” states Festival Director Denise Kasell. “We are pleased to be working directly with the Inn to present our premium panels and seminars and as a base for our other programs and facilities.”
