HD EXPO returns to Chicago

On June 5, 2008, HD EXPO returns to Chicago for its fourth year, again presenting top technology and creative community leaders. The event remains the primary entertainment technology event of its kind in Chicago, where the creative, production, advertising and technology communities share insights and experiences.
Bryan Carroll, Co-Producer of “Public Enemies,” will participate in a One On One Conversation at HD EXPO focusing on his work with Oscar-nominated director Michael Mann and other filmmakers. Carroll has acted as chief technical advisor on a number of projects, enabling complicated productions with cutting-edge technologies and tools. His diverse credits include “Collateral,” “Miami Vice,” and Mann’s return to television, “Robbery Homicide Division.” His technical expertise empowers storytellers to utilize tools and workflows, often for the first time in the marketplace. He’s guided Mann’s Forward Pass productions through a maze of cutting-edge cameras, editing tools and workflows during one of the most dynamic times in entertainment technology. Carroll began his career in the editing room, contributing to “Predator,” “Die Hard,” “The Accused,” “City Slickers,” and “Ali.”
HD EXPO presents a paid conference track on June 4th, including HD FUNdamentals and The P2 Workshop. HD FUNdamentals is taught by post production and production experts, and is aimed at creative and production team members who need deeper understanding of high definition technologies as technical requirements in advertising, production, and multimedia jobs intensifies. The P2 Workshop presents three days of in-depth training in the revolutionary tapeless acquisition and post process.
