Serbian film Here and There www.hereandtherethemovie.com, directed by Serbian director Darko Lungulov has its premier on Skip City International Festival in Japan, selected for the official World Cinema Competition. Japan’s Skip City International D-Cinema Festival has unveiled the line-up for a new section and awards created to support digital film. The 12-title World Cinema section includes Israeli drama Valentina’s Mother competes as an international premiere while New York-set Serbian drama Here And There, Venezuelan-set German documentary El Sistema and Taiwan’s No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti compete as Asian premieres. The 48 screenings also include a digital restoration of Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon, two films in the on-going Cinema Kabuki series and Belgian 3D animated feature Fly Me To The Moon.



The film Here and There have received the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival award and recently Darko Lungulov has won The Best Director Award on Serbian SOFEST Festival in Serbia, when the main actress of Here and There Mirjana Karanović has won The Best Actress Award. Here and There is Serbo- American Coproduction, drama about American (David Thornton) who comes to Belgrade and falls for a Serbian woman (Mirjana Karanović). Cyndi Lauper Thornton’s’ wife and pop star here stars short but distinguished role.
