Featured Films
Bob and the Monster, Opening Night Film, August 5th @ 9:30pm: Six years in the making, Bob and The Monster follows outspoken indie-rock hero Bob Forrest (frontman for Thelonious Monster), through his life-threatening struggle with addiction, to his transformation into one of the most influential and controversial drug counselors in the US today. The film crafts contemporary footage, animation and compelling interviews with archival performances and personal videos from Bob's past to reveal the complex layers of this troubled, but hopeful soul. Testimony from his peers, including Courtney Love, Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante, members of Jane's Addiction, Fishbone and Guns n' Roses add texture, but it's the depth of Bob's music, interwoven throughout the film, that illuminates this unforgettable and inspirational story.

Dying to do Letterman, Closing Night Film, August 9th @ 7:00pm presented by “Champion the Cure Challenge”: Dying to do Letterman is a hilarious, heart-felt, award-winning feature-length documentary that proves one thing: dreams matter. When 35 year old stand-up comedian Steve Mazan learned he had cancer, and might only have five years to live, he dedicated his life living his dream: performing comedy on The Late Show with David Letterman. This documentary chronicles his five-year journey, as he races his own ticking clock to achieve a nearly impossible goal. Hilarious, heart-breaking, and ultimately inspirational, Steve's journey brings a brand-new perspective to living with cancer. This is a story that proves it's not how much time you have, it's what you do with it. As Steve says, 'If you stop chasing your dreams, you're already dead. Featuring: Kevin Nealon, Ray Romano, Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, and Arj Barker. A portion of proceeds from this showing will be donated to benefit the Champion the Cure Challenge.

Trollhunter, August 7th @ 7pm: Shot in a vérité style, TROLLHUNTER is the story of a group of Norwegian film students that set out to capture real-life trolls on camera after learning their existence has been covered up for years by a government conspiracy. A thrilling and wildly entertaining film, TROLLHUNTER delivers truly fantastic images of giant trolls wreaking havoc on the countryside, with darkly funny adherence to the original Norwegian folklore.
