37th international film festival at GOA in India, witnessed unprecedented security and delegates all over the world are facing difficulties in enjoying film festival, long Q, and many restrictions. The 11 days long festival has 6000 plus delegates and about 200 films from 40 countries. This year focus has been given on films from Argentina with five feature films.

The festival is paying homage to 11 personalities with splendid presence of serious films that struggle with politics, economy, life and art in a new world.

The 37th IFFI opened at Dayanand Bandodkar Football Ground, with lot of mess in event management, there after with the inaugural film “Volver” by Pedro Almodovar. The film received warm appreciation even in repeat show on next day.

Topics like Digital Editing and Animation will be covered under Technical retrospective. There are Masters classes followed with interactive sessions. These classes are fetching good responses from young generation.

Film Bazaar is an added attraction. CDs of Documentaries produced by the FILMS DIVISION are available for sale and it is a golden opportunity for all buyers.

The festival will close with BABEL by Aljandro Inarritu.
