Iranian Film Festival San Francisco Line Up

Persianesque: Set to take place September 18-19, 2010 at the San Francisco Art institute, the 3rd Annual Iranian Film Festival San Francisco has a great roster of films on hand.

The Iranian Film Festival, San Francisco-an annual event showcasing the independent feature and short films made by or about the Iranians from around the world and aims to support the Iranian film culture.

One film in particular that will be screened this year is Space Tourists.

Space Tourists chronicles the first-ever non-astronaut woman, Iranian-American Anousheh Ansari, who for the price tag of 20 million dollars, was able to "fulfil her childhood dream."

The documentary follows [Anousheh's] journey from rigorous training in Star City, Kazakhstan, into space and shows everyday life as it is on the International Space Station.

Along with a tribute to Iranian stage and screen actress, Fakhri Khorvash (who will be present at the screening of "Prince Ehtejab" and more) this year's program promises to be another great event.
