The 2007 festival running from April 13 – April 16, will present over 50 films to more than 10,000 festival filmophiles during the four day event. Each film is hand-picked by the festival jury from over 2,000 entries submitted directly by the filmmakers.

Consistent with its prominence as a premier festival, this years Malibu International Film Festival will screen world; west coast or Los Angeles premieres of (5) features; (35) short films; (7) animated short films and (7) documentaries. With each film screening at the American Cinematheque's 400 seat Aero Theater in the trendy part of Santa Monica.

Additionally the festival will screen the world premiere of Gideon Raff’s directorial debut “The Killing Floor” as the Festival’s succeeding Centerpiece Film. “The Killing Floor’ hits every aspect you look for in a thriller,” Katz said.
