Olavarría International Short Film Festival lineup

 

It was announced the first round of selection of short films "THE FICO WILL HAVE A FIRST LEVEL PROGRAM THIS YEAR"

Thus assured members of the Organizing Committee of 4th. Olavarría International Short Film Festival that were responsible for the screening of short films that will participate this year's Official Competition and the different sections out of competition, said the municipal government through the Secretariat for Culture, Education and Tourism. 

With significant participation of Spanish short films and the certainty of having made a difficult preselection for the very good quality of the short films received, organizers said that "much good  material left out, which on the one hand we are sad, but at the same time, we are very pleased with the call that has had this year's festival. The festival grew exponentially from year to year ".  This will allow the festival has an excellent program in its fourth edition.

After the statements were announced the selected short films starting with the local competition. The olavarrienses shorts in competition are: "10 de febrero", by Juan Pablo Masson; "Consuelo", by Germán Irazábal; "El héroe", by Matías Carrión and "Es ahora", by Martín Estévez. Then, all selected:

It was also announced that the publicity competition was suspended for lack of material. The only film presented - "Típicas razones para no ir a Murcia" by  Arturo Artal  and Juan Carrascal, from Madrid, Spain- will be exhibited out of competition. On the other hand, it created a non-competitive section for experimental shorts, whose unique language, does not fall within what is traditional fiction. Those selected are:

"Hojas", by Tomás Luciano Salatino; "Amnio", by Dolores Vazquez; "De cómo "A" venció al anomal", by Juan Bobbio; "Del amor, según Stendhal" by Goyo Anchou; "Llegando al cielo", by María Silvia Esteve and"Échenle sal", by Sonia Bertotti; all from Argentina.
