OSCAR Short Film Nominees showcased in NY

The ten Animated and Live Action Short Film Oscar Nominees sold out screenings was held at the Directors Guild Theater, New York, Saturday, February 16, 12:00 PM. Presented by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), produced by New York Program Director Patrick Harrison, AMPAS, and hosted by film historian, television host and Hollywood Reporter columnist Robert Osborne.

Crowds of people began forming outside the entrance door of the Directors Guild Theater at approximately 10:00 AM. Saturday afternoon with Oscar gave the audience a chance to see all ten nominated short films prior to the 80th Academy Awards ceremony, televised live by ABC Television Network, Sunday, February 24, 8:00 PM EST. A special Q&A session with Producer Anja Daelemans and Actor Koen van Impe, TANGHI ARGENTINI preceded intermission. My favorite 2008 Oscar short film nominees were PETER & THE WOLF, directed by Suzie Templeton for Best Animated and TANGHI ARGENTINI directed by Guido Thys for Best Live Action.
