Programme International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg 2007

The programme of the 56th International filmfestival Mannheim- Heidelberg 2007 (12 to 21 October 2007) is out.
The International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg is one of the most important filmfestivals for newcomer films worldwide, a sort of "Euro- Sundance" (L.M. Kit Carson). We present numerous discoveries among the young filmmakers, there are 36 premieres from 30 countries in the two main sections of the festival, International Competition and International Discoveries, and in the sidebar "New films from China".

The festival officially opens on 12 October with Erik de Bruyn's international premiere "Nadine".

New Films from China
Six brand new films from China are presented in a sidebar, featuring films from the Chinese province. In another sidebar the festival shows a retrospective on Ingmar Bergman's oeuvre.
