The 6th edition of Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest, Italian Film Festival about horror cinema, will take place in Ravenna (Italy) from 28th October to 2nd November 2008 (Halloween period).

Ravenna Nightmare will propose the International Competition For Feature Films (main event of the festival) and the European Competition for Short Films. And premieres & special events which will make Ravenna, for one week, Italian capital of horror cinema.

Everybody who is interested in submitting a film (feature or short) to the Competitions, is welcome. Rules and entry form are available on our web site www.ravennanightmare.it or contacting us at ravenna@melies.org. Deadline for submission is 15 september 2008.

RNFF has become, in its 5 years, the most important appointment in Italy for horror genre cinema. All major companies are always present (like Fox, Eagles, Sony, etc,), all indipendent companies are welcome; and every year a number of professionals and journalists come to Ravenna, always interested in what we do.

Ravenna Nightmare is also member of EFFFF (www.melies.org), the European Federation of Fantastic Film Festivals (among its members: Sitges, Bruxelles, Fantafestival etc.), which is the most important and representative network of European Festivals of fantastic, horror and thriller cinema.

We already had in previous editions guested directors like Dario Argento, Pupi Avati, Bryan Yuzna, Jeff Lieberman, Lucky McKee, Alex Infascelli, Lamberto Bava, Valerio Evangelisti, Manetti Bros. Or we screened films by John Carpenter, Werner Herzog, John McNaughton, Miike Takashi, Jess Franco, Takashi Shimizu, Uwe Boll, Neil Marshall, Vincent Cassel, Jean Rollin.
