Having screened outstanding independent and signature driven works from of some of the hippest venues in town, Revelation Perth International Film Festival moves to The Astor Cinema in Mt Lawley. Two screens, Opening and Closing Night celebrations, the Rev Lounge, In Conversation With... events, master classes, plus more cross-form specialities; the 2008 program will offer a hub of activity all in one place.

Rev is tremendously excited to be moving into one of the most vibrant and urbane neighbourhoods in Perth. Running two screens concurrently, this year’s event at The Astor will present works that range from knock-out, big screen entertainment to specially curated, experimental animations and archival projections; and locating a festival bar on the scene will generate the kind of atmosphere that really celebrates screen culture:

The move to The Astor comes with festival date changes: Revelation now runs from 3-13 July. All else remains the same and organisation for the 2008 event is moving at a cracking pace with Rev Calling For Entries from the international film community. Revelation showcases progressive, individual and signature driven work across all genres, formats and durations. From the lowest of the low-fi to well resourced features, documentaries, experimental works, animations, music clips and weird hybrids, Rev’s primary criteria is spirit. Enter now.
