Revelation Perth International Film Festival highlights for the summer

Revelation Perth International Film Festival
July 12-22, 2007
Luna Leederville | Luna SX | The Bakery

Revelation announces the 2007 Screen Conference as one of the country’s most vibrant industry discussion platforms, embracing the creative, the business and the technical.
The event runs July 12-22 over 4 full days of the two weekends and includes masterclasses, panel discussions, film festival screenings, workshops, script hothouses and the chance for local filmmakers to mix it with their contemporaries from around the country and around the world.
The Revelation Screen Conference is unique in offering serious industry knowledge in the most informal of atmospheres: you won’t find the pressure seen at other industry events, you’ll find the conversation.
A focus on independent and low budget practice and alternate production mechanisms means that we want to see it made no matter what!
Highlights and themes include:
• Case studies: Last Train to Freo and Boxing Day with the filmmakers, Kriv Stenders, Jeremy Sims & Reg Cribb
• HD Masterclass with Toby Oliver ACS
• Tezuka presentation by anime expert, Phillip Brophy
• DIY production and distribution with Anna Biller (USA) (dir Viva), Matthew Zeremis & Oliver
Torr (co-directors Burke and Wills) & Rachael Lucas (dir Bondi Tsunami)
• The voice of the subject in documentary with Tray White (USA) (dir The Impaler) Camille
Hardman (dir Big Dreamers) & Dendy Awards Nominee, Kim Farrant (Naked on the Inside)
• Performance for the screen with WAAPA students
• Business models for digital distribution
• Hubert Selby Jr and the process of writing
• Second life and making media in a digital world
