Shriekfest, the Los Angeles International Horror/Thriller Scifi/Fantasy Film Festival and Screenplay Competition celebrated it's 5th year anniversary with a bang!
The festival opened with a horror panel sponsored by the LA Indie Film Group which included Stefan Avalos, Brian Avenet Bradley, Jeff Burr, John Gulager (from Project Greenlight), Ken Hall, & Rolfe Kanefsky.

Then the festival kicked off the first weekend of screenings with an opening night party at the Red Buddha.
55 features and shorts were screened at this years' festival! The festival screenings took place on Sept 17, 18, 24, 25 at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.
In addition to the screenings, Shriekfest hosted some Q&A sessions with the filmmakers and several more parties, one of which took place at the exclusive Spider Room Club.
Best Horror Feature went to "Dark Remains" directed by Brian Avenet-Bradley,
Best SciFi Feature went to "Experiment" directed by Daniel Turner,
Best Thriller Feature film went to "Razor Eaters" directed by Shannon Young,
Best Horror Short film went to "We All Fall Down" directed by Jake Kennedy,
Best SciFi Short film went to "Apartment 206" directed by Gregory Zymet,
and Best Thriller Short film went to "1309" directed by Christian Davis.

Prizes at this year's event included cash awards, a $5500.00 value DTS sound license, Final Draft software, and many other product awards and services
