Bridgetown Film Festival 17-20 Jan 2008

The Bridgetown Film Festival runs for 4 days, opening Thursday the January 17.

The Festival project is a way for the community to celebrate digital media, host traditional screenings, and hold workshops to further develop film and television skills.

It is a way for the community to celebrate its own screen achievements and herald those on an international stage. The diverse programme of screenings, workshops and competitions will offer something for everyone during the Festival as well as fostering community participation and exploration of the film medium.

The Festival will be a forum for the future development and continuation of a vibrant film and television industry in the region. This event is the only one of its kind servicing many towns in the surrounding South West. These towns include Boyup Brook, Nannup, Manjimup, Donnybrook, Balingup, Greenbushes and Hester.

The Bridgetown Film Festival will incorporate several indoor and outdoor screenings at the Bridgetown Hotel, the Bridgetown Repertory Theatre and Bridgedale Cottage Lawns. There are also workshops and activities at other venues during the Festival.
