The lack Studio at PAFF

The PAN AFRICAN FILM & ARTS FESTIVAL (PAFF) will host a panel discussion on THE RISE OF THE BLACK STUDIO on Wednesday, February 13 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the AMC Magic Johnson Crenshaw 15 Theater (Theater 4) located at 4020 Marlton Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90008. The panel is $20 and tickets can be purchased at the theater box office. For more information, please call (323) 295-1706.
2007 saw the creation of African-American studios with the ability to distribute their films to their audience - a new studio for the new millennium. How do these new players influence the films that make it into the marketplace? Is this the dawn of a new day or business as usual? THE RISE OF THE BLACK STUDIO confirmed panelists include Jeff Clanagan, CodeBlack Enterprises and Roger Bobb, Tyler Perry Enterprises. Invited panelists include Tracey Edmonds, Edmonds Entertainment, Our Stories Films and William Packer, Rainforest Films. The panel is produced by Sherri James.
Now in its 7th day and running through Monday, February 18, the 2008 PAFF will showcase over 162 films at the AMC Magic Johnson Crenshaw 15 Theater and present one of America's largest fine art shows featuring prominent and emerging Black artists and fine craftspeople held at the BaldwinHillsCrenshawPlaza. For more information, please call (323) 295-1706 or www.PAFF.org.
