YiYi Wins Over National Society of Film Critics

of Film Critics Awards

The
51 members of the National Society of Film Critics named Edward Yang's Yi
Yi
best picture of the year. The film received almost twice as many votes
as the runner-up film, Traffic. The awards were dedicated to The New York
Times
reviewer Vincent Canby, who died in October and was a former chair
of the society.
