York International ramps up release schedule

York International ramps up release schedule, showcases high-concept affordable American programming at DISCOP 2006
York International is headed to DISCOP 06’ with a vigorous library of new films, and a mission to bring their affordable programming to the international television market.

Hot-off-the-heels of a hugely successful appearance at the Cannes Film festival, York plans to show the Eastern European television market the same thing it showed the film buyers at Cannes, that York’s genre-driven product is in high demand and practically sells itself internationally. This is the first time York has aggressively pursued the Eastern European film and television market, an often neglected region that York feels is becoming a key player in global media distribution.

Armed with an arsenal of 100+ films, CEO Tanya York plans to introduce the world to a gang of eclectic new titles, including the high-art Indie-fest line (Gravity), explosive action (Street Survival), classic teen horror (The Lonely Ones), gut-busting comedy (Finders Keepers) Urban Hip-Hop Drama (The Label) and even a film adaptation of an award winning Gospel Musical (PIMP, even players must praise him).

“We’re heading to DISCOP guns-blazing” exclaimed CEO/President Tanya York “and with our diverse library I intend to generate international television sales figures the level of which unseen by any independent American distribution company in recent years”
