"InContact" - Voyeurism meets Exhibitionism

Feature Film written & directed by Israeli-born filmmaker Ann Oren
Starring: Silya Nymoen, Anna Gutto and Noel Allain
Total Running Time: 84 minutes

Played in Berlin @ the Attic Cinema, Homebase Festival
Future screenings: Underground Film Festival, in Dun Laogahire Ireland

"InContact" explores the obsession of social media in people's lives, the benefits (everyone has the ability to perform), and it's cons (obsession and disconnection with reality).

The film centers on the friendship of Christina, a failed actress that works at a cheese shop, and Gen, a talented singer, struggling with song writing. Christina idolizes her friend and next door neighbor, and keeps trying to grab her attention through live streams on the webcam. The story unfolds when Gen dates her complete opposite, George, who's not a fan of the camera. After Gen's mother's tragic death, Christina becomes more and more obsessed and envious, as Gen pushes her away and grows closer to her man.

The film demonstrates the psyche of human nature, the need of attention and being seen online versus the "real world".

Artist Ann Oren’s influences have been Michael Haneke (“Cache” "White Ribbon"and recently "Amour") and Maya Deren.

"InContact" was entirely filmed on laptop computers, webcams, mobile phones and surveillance cameras, in just 9 days.

"A very well done & memorizing film of the technology effects in today's world."
