Little Studio Films "DEAR MISTER OBAMA" spearheading a socially conscious film slate for AFM 2013The dynamic mother daughter Team of Little Studio Films, return to the global sales marketplace at AFM 2013 with socially conscious film slate spearheaded by the announcement of pre production of "Dear Mister Obama", which will star Antonio Banderas. Based on a true story, it tells the adventure of Cuban mechanic Pablo Cartero who decides to cross the Straits of Florida in a 1949 Mercury car converted to a boat, to personally persuade President Obama to stop the embargo on Cuba after losing his young son trying to reach the US. The film will be directed by Italian Award winning film maker Andrea Lodovichetti from a script by Eros Tumbarello. Alexia Melocchi and Alexandra Yacovlef (LSF Productions) will also be showing a promo on the recently completed "ICE SCREAM" starring Spencer Treat Clark, Wade Williams, Laura Harring, Zach Cumer and Brendan Miller, an edgy horror thriller that tackles the themes of bullying, which they produced in partnership with Christian Halsey Solomon and Marco Colombo.
Solomon will be handling the worldwide sales on the picture. Lastly offered for sale will be the documentary "Return To Happiness", a real life redemption story of professional Canadian Hockey Player Ryan John Phillips who after being jailed for drug smugging in the US embarks on a journey of self discovery to South East Asia while on a humanitarian fund raising mission for the Somaly Mam foundation.
Melocchi and Yacovlef, who have been primarily focused on producing and packaging their own projects and those of their represented clients, are veterans of international distribution as they used to have their own sales company called AXELIA INTERNATIONAL PICTURES in the early 90s.
