2017 GALA Winners announced

NYF's strategic partnership with NAB Show made it possible for our 2017 festival to be a multi-day event at the world’s largest media show covering filmed entertainment across all mediums. The awards gala featured award-winning guest presenters from around the globe including prominent media executives, broadcast journalists, talk show hosts, and content creators all representing the multi-faceted media industry.

Al Jazeera achieved prominence earning the title of Broadcaster of the Year. The Edge Picture Company was honored for the 11th year in a row with the title of Production Company of the Year. Fox Networks Group Latin America was recognized with the 2017 Program Promotion Team of the Year Award. Tony Petitti, Chief Operating Officer of Major League Baseball was honored with the 2017 New York Festivals® Lifetime Achievement Award.

Together with an e-program, these events brought a new level of prominence, interest, and recognition for all of our participants which will continue in the year ahead. The winners, their interviews, and excerpts from their programs will be viewable on our website. The 2017 Grand Jury awarded 3 Grand Awards 167 Gold World Medals, 175 Silver World Medals and 145 Bronze World Medals, and 232 Finalist Certificates from entries submitted from over 40 countries.
