Film Information http://www.filmfestivals.com/film/drapchitibet

Modern Tibet is a political hotbed where present-day is at war with traditional-past and an uncertain future awaits casualties who raise their voice in protest. Tibetan opera singer 'Yiga Gyalnang' is abducted and thrown into 'Drapchi,' one of the most dreaded prisons in occupied Tibet, for what the Chinese government see as rebellion through her songs of freedom and expression. After years of isolation and torture, she breaks free and escapes to Nepal and then the West, taking with her an unbroken soul, tremendous strength and her voice that could never be silenced.
