Yugoslav Black Wave on Kino Otok Isola
Želimir Žilnik also presented his latest documentary the hundred year old Dragica Srzentić at the Art kino Odeon cinema Jedna žena jedan vek/One Woman, One Century, as a story of an incredible Istrian woman Dragica Srzentić who witnessed key events in old Yugoslavia due to the Second World War conflicted set of circumstances. Her life story sheds light on the historical events of the Balkans in the 20th century and explores very complicated political situation of the eight countries and political systems that she lived in and surrvived. It’s composed of conversations, the reconstructions and well animated images and old photographs, to present a series of key political events in communist Yugoslavia, that shaped the fate of Yugoslavia before, during and after.
