Sunday, January 21----Actor Kevin Bacon and his actress wife Kyra Sedgwick (who just won a Golden Globe Award last week for her role in the television drama THE CLOSER) were in Park City to launch their charitable website sixdegrees.org, a charitable community in which celebrities and regular folks alike share their favorite charity.

When someone donates to someone’s charity through sixdegrees.org, a “badge” from the person whose charity is supported is shown on your Web site or blog. The name for the site is based on the infamous game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, which boasts the conceipt that everyone is related to everyone else within six connections (six degrees of separation) of the popular actor. The goal of the game is to link another actor to Bacon within as few movies as possible. The actors are well known for their philanthropy and commitment to causes of social and political issues.
