British Urban Film Festival announces Spring Season 2015 line-up
BUFF unveils bank holiday weekend line-up of programming starting May 1st.
The British Urban Film Festival looks ahead to Spring Season 2015 with the announcement of a stellar line-up of cinema and television premieres for audiences to enjoy during the May bank holiday weekend.
BUFF will show two nights of cinema premieres at Genesis Cinema in Mile End Road starting from Friday 1st of May followed by a Sunday night TV premiere on Community Channel on 3rd of May. As part of the agreement, viewers will get another chance to watch the Sunday night premiere on Bank Holiday Monday. Jessica Mellor and Akosua Annobil will host the cinema premieres with Q&A’s featuring cast members, directors & special guests.
The opening event on 1st May is the London premiere of Breaking Britain, a roadmovie comedy directed by Adriel Leff. The Saturday event on 2nd May is the London premiere of Brooklyn, the critically acclaimed French hip-hop drama which first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014 - directed by Pascal Tessaud. The Sunday night TV premiere is Calloused Hands, an award winning coming-of-age drama which first premiered in the UK at the 2013 British Urban Film Festival – directed by Jesse Quinones.
