The upcoming Universe Multicultural Film Festival (UMFF) will be held from April 3-5, 2020 in Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles, California. Rancho Palos Verdes is located on the southern Pacific coast in the Los Angeles area with a nick name as Hollywood Rivera, UMFF been working on the multicultural exchange to provide an open platform for the films from all over the world in different languages with different ethnic background. As a full-scale international film festival, UMFF is a place with film screenings, screenplay contests with live showcase, music/song contest with opening juries, plus film market with industry panels in at least 6 areas (screenwriter, production, project pitching, Audition skills, etc). 

Each year, Hundreds of films from more than 40 countries will be selected for the most popular film categories. The final winner of each category will be determined by the result of the Hollywood professional jurists, and the official selection certificate and award certificate will be awarded on the spot. All official selected films will have the opportunity to be screened to filmmakers and audiences from all over the world during the festival. The UMFF committee will also arrange a Q&A session for those who plan to attend the festival so that the filmmakers can hear the real feelings directly from the audience right after the screening.

The three-day event has arranged six panels to help filmmakers from all over the world to achieve their film ideals. The filmmakers who attended the panels every year said that they have benefited a lot from the top filmmakers from Hollywood. To keep this expected tradition, the committee will continue to set "Multicultural Film Market" panel, "Pitch & Catch" panel, "Multicultural Screenplay" panel, "Work with China funded Films"panel, "Produce Global Film" panel, "Audition for Multicultural Movies" panel to fulfill different film departments’ expectation and provide the best and most useful experiences from the top filmmakers in Hollywood. No matter in any role of filmmakers one could be, they can find the knowledge they have been looking for in these panels and enjoy this once in a life time on-site face to face communication with the professional Hollywood filmmakers

There is a growing Film Market in UMFF/ The Multicultural Film Market is open to all members of the film industry. We are building to reach the capability of fulfilling all film business needs - film sales, investments, production, location, post-production etc. at one location. All official Selection Films get a complementary booth space to show and market the film in the market for 3 days. 

Among all the time of the festival, the committee has been trying its best to bring wonderful artistic moments to each participant, whether it is the Opening Gala, the live performance of "Screenplay Show Case" on the second day, or the red carpet and award ceremony on the third day. The outstanding scripts from the script contest will be performed by professional Hollywood actors at the festival, allowing filmmakers, producers, directors, and others from all over the world to experience the charm of the script. Worldwide actors who are interested in participating in this part can also sign up online to join the live performance.
