2015 Palm Springs Shortest Kicks Off With Opening Night Films

WHO: Expected to attend Opening Night are: Director Adriano Valentini (The Age of Insecurity: Little Men), Director Alexis Van Stratum (Albertine), Director Michael Phillis and Producer Alexa Fraser-Herron, (Mini Supreme), Producer A.J. Kelly (Warning Labels). ShortFest Programming and Executive Director Darryl Macdonald, Forums Producer Helen du Toit, and filmmakers from around the world.

WHAT: This year’s opening night screening titled “Make ‘Em Laugh” on Tuesday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m. will be highlighted by a selection of comedy shorts from around the world. Films include: The Age of Insecurity: Little Men (USA), Albertine (France), De Smet (Belgium), Love Is Blind (UK), The Man from the Council (UK), Mini Supreme (USA) and Warning Labels (USA).

MORE: The 2015 Palm Springs International ShortFest, held June 16-22, 2015 will screen 330 films including 77 World Premieres, 65 North American Premieres and 19 U.S. Premieres. The concurrent Short Film Market will feature a library of more than 3,000 films from the festival’s submissions, which is available to film buyers, industry and press, the only Short Film Market in North America.
