SISTERS (Serbian: Sestre/Сестре) won 3 awards at the Serbian TV Awards

The Serbian made for TV movie SISTERS (2011) (Serbian: Sestre/Сестре) won three awards this week at the Serbian TV Awards...Ivana Vukovic (Marija) for Best Actress, Ana Mandic (Saka) for Best Supporting Actress and Ljubomir Bandovic (Tadija) for Best Actor.

SISTERS is based on the horrific situation of human trafficking taking place in Eastern and Western Europe which preys on young girls coming from lower economic countries, their desperation and dream to find a better life in Western Europe. The acting of Ivana Vukovic (Marija), Ana Mandic (Saka) and Ljubomir Bandovic (Tadija) is superb and so is the direction by Vladimir Paskaljevic. The stellar performances of the award-winning actors makes for an unforgettable compelling story of an impossible to ignore grave reality. The film is not only crucial and current but so efficacious in its poignancy it could even save lives.
