KINOKI is the International University Film Festival hosted by the Universidad Iberoamericana, one of the most important universities in México. It takes place each year during the third week of February through the Communication Department and the Film area. The Festival was born with the compromise to give voice to film students from the entire world, giving them the space to promote new cinematographic proposals. We want this films to be watched, to generate emotions, questions, reflections and dialogues.
From February 15th to February 19th on 2010, KINOKI will celebrete its 6th edition and will exhibit the official selection of national and international university shortfilms, covering the categories of fiction, documentary, animation and experimental.
Nevertheless, there are other events which take place during the festival such as movie premieres in the presence of the filmmakers, master classes with special guests, roundtables with great personalities of world cinema, and the art exposition 24 frames, that presents plastic masterpieces related to film. One of the most expected events is the Autocinema, projected in the Universidad Iberoamericana’s parking lot and transmitted live by the Ibero 90.9 radio station.
