Film Festivals
The first Trailer Festival took place in June 2010 and the audience was exclusively industry, including Fox, Disney, Paramount and PBS. The trailers are now in an Online Screening Room and so far we have received 72 requests from Hollywood managers, producers and distributors for DVDs and scripts, with 3 deals being negotiated. Sales will continue for the next year.Submissions are now open for the 2011 Trailer Festival, which promises to be an even more successful event than the first. For more details and information about how to submit, please visit www.thetrailerfestival.com
A new showcase for new and noteworthy documentary work. We have been building an audience for documentaries through our weekly docu-rama! series, which filmmakers can submit to on an on-going basis.
The Turkey Shoot promotes music videos from the best independent directors, labels, and bands. The festival also showcases music related documentaries.

Initial screenings in Edinburgh will be followed by a UK nationwide tour.

The Unmentionables Film Festival is an annual theme-based program that will focus on a different “taboo” topic each year. The inaugural program, "Vol. I: Menstruation," will present a week-long celebratory exploration of menstruation at Maysles Cinema, an independent film house in Manhattan.
The Urban Suburban Film Festival (USFF) was created to bring together artists who have a passion for film making, and seek to find an opportunity to showcase, and distribute their film. The USFF will also provide an opportunity for the businesses associated with the organization, to collaborate with talented individuals, and increase their involvement in the community.
The Valley Film Festival showcases cinema so independent it can only be found in L.A.`s San Fernando Valley. It`s so (818). Totally.
After the success of our inaugural Van d’Or Awards for Independent Film in 2011, we went one better in 2012 with a bigger, shinier ceremony, hosted by none other than film critic legend Barry Norman, all thanks to our brilliant sponsors, Ford.
In 2011 we celebrated some of the films which Cannes in a Van screened during the festival, plus those which had a special place in our hearts were honoured with an Un Certain Regard award. The overall winner of the Van d’Or for Best Film, Fixing Luka (dir. Jessica Ashman) went on to win a BAFTA Scotland Award in November 2011.
2012 was a little different, with new categories added into the mix, we awarded a pan-European crop of independent films and introduced a special Student Film in Transit category too – specifically for film students with some serious prizes to be won, courtesy of Ford. The judging panel consisted of key players in the industry, distributors, promoters, actors, directors, producers and a few surprises.
The 2013 Van d’Ors is set to raise the bar even more, with the quality of entries looking to be the best yet.
The winners and nominees will tour with Cannes in a Van: Film in Transit in the coming year, giving those entries some much deserved promotion and coverage via organised screenings, festivals and other events to-be-confirmed.
