Giorgos Mesalas hides his own special world, which we got to know better during our research, by listening to important people storyings ,and developing a close relationship, for at least a year; the time needed for the shooting and processing of the archive.Suddenly through Giorgos Messalas’ life, the history of modern Greek Theater started passing before our eyes. He was the assistant and personal friend of some of the most important theatre masters, like Alexis Minotis and Alexis Solomos. He participated in all major tours of the National Greek Theater to USA, Russia, China, Japan, France, Belgium and Yugoslavia. He wanted to dive into culture... to become a better person… to "make other people better"by realizing Alexis Minotis' saying that "as an actor you must learn to bring the people on stage instead of going down to the audience yourself”."heater is for the people" was his basic idea and this is what he did

A film critic who is much respected and feared (and not just by those she criticizes in her reviews) receives an unexpected visitor late one night - it is Jash Varman, a movie star she has been particularly severe on over the years. He recalls some of his memorable performances, and the equally memorable ways in which she had ripped them apart. But as it turns out, that is not his only reason for visiting her tonight...
Director: Sylvia Toy St. Louis and Michael Lewis.
This video performance portrait is based on a poem about an elderly woman whom I frequently saw on Montgomery Street in San Francisco on the way to dayjob for several years. She moves like only old dancers move in spite of her obvious mental disturbances, i.e., paranoia, mumbling to herself etc. The grace of that well trained body carries her quite magically through the crowds of workers of whom she seems so afraid. Art seems to be in her blood stream, in every single cell of her body and happening all the time even though she's not in a pracice room or on stage due to sheer muscle memory of making art.
Director: Donia Mili.
I plunged myself---heart, body and soul---into the Amazon jungle I feared so much…I drank with the shamans as much of their sacred beverage, ayahuasca, as I could get my hands on…. trying to reach my subconscious, trying to understand the Universe, trying to heal myself…DESPERATELY trying to forget the corruption, the greed, the swarms of stinging, biting insects, the avalanches, and rattletrap, smoky buses. Not to mention the kidnapping.
Kakaram combines the stunning images of the rainforest with humorous animated sequences and interviews with best-selling author John Perkins, internationally acclaimed painter and healer Pablo Amaringo, as well as a host of shamans, healers, derelicts and anyone else who would stand in front of the microphone. From the streets of Quito to the jungle trails of the Ecuadorian Amazon, the movie follows the film-maker in her quixotic quest to find "untouched" indigenous communities. Kakaram chronicles both her inner and outer journeys as her original vision and plans evolve in surprising and fascinating ways.
