I then asked him if his non-political drive but rather humanist drive is reflected in the statement of the little boy, Ahmed, at the end of the film who tells his grandmother, 'Granny, I don't want to be a soldier. I want to be a musician.' Well, Mohamed then admitted Ahmed's character is definitely partly based on himself and his own sentiments about his visions for a new Iraq.
