R. Christian Anderson

began as achild actor and continued acting throughout his adult but his real flame lies now in writing, directing and producing. He has a made a number of short films including:

2012 (2010)

Anderson wrote:

"Good morning Vanessa! Well, I just got back from beautiful San Antonio,
Texas where I just finished directing a short film called "The Last
Rose" for DB Media. D.R. Pedraza wrote the screenplay and it's a very
potent story of misinterpretation, mistaken identity and irony. It is
currently in post-production and should be released in August.

I
am now working on 2 new projects. The first is a French language short
film called "Pour l'Amour d'un Homme" and it is a murder mystery set in
Paris.

I am excited about a new feature film called "Stanyan
Street Story" which is a period piece set in 1972. It's about woman who
loses her cousin to suicide and the excursion she makes into a world she
knows nothing about to discover why he ended his own life. It has
several twists and turns and in the process, she must examine her own
feelings and attitudes. It will be filmed in San Francisco.

I
continue to write and of course, my passion is directing but I recently
started my own production company so I could produce my own films as
well as others I believe in. I think if every filmmaker should
understand the mechanics and business end of film, you certainly need to
understand what's involved in the mechanics of it to truly appreciate
those who toil at bringing a film to the screen. I've appreciated the
process far more having become a producer and recommend that involvement
to anyone who loves this industry."
