UDINE, Italy Far East Film Festival

UDINE FAR EAST FILM FESTIVAL
, April 24th - May 2nd , 2009 -11° Edition -Premieres, Discoveries, Tributes, Retros

The World's Largest Showcase of Popular Asian Cinema

Far East Film Festival 11 is approaching!

Join the official Far East Film 11 group, and you'll
soon be receiving exciting previews about the biggest Festival dedicated to
Asian Cinema in Europe.

The Festival programme will shortly be available on
both Facebook and our website (www.fareastfilm.com) and we promise you'll find
it full of tempting choices!

The
11th edition of Far East Film Festival will take place from April 24th
to May 2nd, in our beautiful city of Udine, Italy, at our two
venues, the "Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine" and the "Cinema Visionario"
situated in the very heart of the city.

During nine full days of screenings, Far East Film
offers you the chance to watch the most successful recent cinematographic
releases from Eastern Asia, and stages rare retrospectives. It gives the public
a much appreciated chance to approach the famous artists, by holding each
afternoon a themed discussion panel on current issues in Asian cinema.

In the pleasant, informal, and relaxing Festival
atmosphere, the newest feature films from the Far East (China, Hong Kong,
Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and
Malyasia) are presented along with tributes and focuses on specific artists,
linking today's cinema with the past, digging up memories from the glorious
film-making history of those countries, mostly still unseen and unknown in
Italy and Europe.

Since
its conception almost 11 years ago, Far East Film has grown continually and it
can now count on the regular presence of more than 50 thousand spectators, many
of them coming from all over the world, from the United States to the Czech
Republic. We screen more than 60 films each year (mostly International or
European festival premieres) meaning that Udine Far East Film boasts the widest
selection of Asian feature films in the world.

Not only this, but FEFF brings the city of Udine to
life with special events organised, parties and concerts held around the city
for the Festival's duration.

More information about Far East Film will be available
in the next 10 days. Don't wait, join our group and be part of the biggest Asian
Film Festival in Europe!
