— Kinofest NYC is pleased to announce the dates of its 2011 film festival, which will take place in New York City from Wednesday, March 16th to Sunday, March 20th, 2011. This is the second annual Kinofest NYC festival. It has grown this year from one to two locations and expanded the number of screening sessions from six to twelve. The story unfolds from 2001 to 2006, following Gogol's steps from underground legends to international attention. Meet the band members in their homes and listen to their stories of immigration, the energy at their shows, and music, music, Non-Stop. The film captures Gogol Bordello's live show experience, the making of the music, and deconstructs the bordello lingo, such as Gypsy punk, think locally fuck globally, or multi kontra culti.
