EXORCISMUS, interview with Manuel Carballo

Well, a fantasy film festival would not be complete without an exorcism/horror and the latest demon to take possession is that in THE POSSESSION OF EMMA EVANS (La posesión de Emma Evans; Spain, 2010), also known as EXORCISMUS. While the film itself is a Spanish production (by Filmax, Barcelona) realized by Spanish director Manuel Carballo, it is set in London and filmed in English with actors Tommy Bastow, Sophie Vavasseur, Richard Felix, Douglas Bradley, and Stephen Billington. The Next Three Days: My First Red Carpet As A Photographer, by Eva Rinaldi - 30th January 2011

user
It was my first time doing the red carpet as a professional photographer. You can just imagine how exciting it was. Doing something the first time is special. You know, getting your First drivers license, kissing, making love, giving birth and you get the picture. Today I had the privilege and pleasure of shooting 'The Next Three Days', a drama staring my friend Russell Crowe. The shoot wasn't without incident either, such is the often the case i...

user
AFM Day 4-5: Adrien Brody's WRECKED Sells, Where Not to Film, Mini-Moguls Speakby Quendrith Johnson, Los Angeles Correspondent "Expected to be released in theatres in 2011" might be the most ominous phrase coming out of the 31st American Film Market, which closes on Nov. 10. It's the expectations of buyers and sellers that indicate we're in a worldwide down economy, with many expecting the worst. Not so if you are Adrien Brody, steeped in Oscar potential; and even if your film is WRECKED, som...

Interview with Jonas Mekas Filmmaker and DotFest Jury member

user

I make diaristic films, it's basically a narrative form of cinema, only that people do not know that I am making a different kind of narrative film. They are used to the oldfashioned narrative cinema. But why diaristic? It stands so on the edge of becoming uninteresting and you, more or less, let the viewer into ...
