At 6:30pm, I found myself trekking through the pleasantly desolate industrial fringes of SOHO in search of Don Hill’s. The graffiti scribbled, black brick exterior of the bar combined with the dark, skull embossed fashion of a few nicotine huffing early arrivals to inspire visions of death metal to dance in my head. But the interior of the bar was more campy than tough or spooky, with “sailor tattoo” themed wallpaper and glowing gargoyle masks on the wall creating an ambience somewhere b...
