Synopsis
Granica, Grenze, Border - dividing line between two religions, two cultures - between majoritarian Serbian respectively Croatian areas.
Twelve years after the end of the conflict about the 'Republic of Serbian Krajina' in the Yugoslavian/Croatian war (1991-1995), the traces of altercation are still present.
Delapidated, destroyed houses - partly sitting right next to minefields, or in the middle of townscapes, waiting for their owners - act as unintentional memorials, warding off oblivion.
The former inhabitants or their descendants/heirs return only slowly to the area rendered improvident by the Yugoslavian war. What persists are half abandoned villages and scarcely inhabited cities in the hinterland, off the beaten track, which still haven't recovered from the times of war.
Filmed in Zitnic, Drnis, Sibenik and Tepljuh (Croatia) in 2008, in locations
around the area of the temporary border of the internationally not recognized
'Republic of Serbian Krajina'. After the 'Log Revolution' in August 1990 this
area became one of the focal points in the Yugoslavian/Croatian
war 1991-1995.
Director: Ester Brym.

Mental hospital, special department. A solitary cell has become a temporary place of detention for the leader of an organization “Earth Liberation Front”. He’s extremely insane and dangerous. His organization is recognized as terrorist. Having fallen into his nightmare visions, he refused to communicate with the outer world. His fate was predetermined: life imprisonment or death by shooting. But the last straw was not even the murder of 6 hostages – famous people; he went much further, challenging the existing system.
Everyone left him. The only one who finds access to his sick mind and makes him talk is a young female doctor. But confession of the terrorist turns out to be much more terrific than the death of hostages, mental hospital cellars, and everything that an average mentality is used to. He made everyone see the war that constantly takes place all over the world, the war that were started by people against the nature, the war that an average person can’t even notice.

Henry Dean, veteran publicist, resists retirement by holding onto his PR job for the San Lorenzo Film Festival, where for twenty-eight years he has stayed at the Hotel Medici, maintaining a long-running affair with his beloved Leticia, one of the hotel’s chamber maids. But Henry’s job (and love affair) depends upon looking after the Festival’s guest of honor – a cantankerous older film director who only needs a little press – and the task has entangled Henry in a world of trouble. David Bowie's son, Duncan Jones' first film, "Moon", produced by Trudie Styler, is a sci-fi thriller about an astronaut who spends three years on the Moon with the hope of helping the Earth's power problems. Q: What was it like to work with Sam Rockwell?A: "It was absolutely wonderful, but when I actually met him, I realized what a lovely and talented guy he was. Until you have the opportunity to work with him, an actor of that caliber, you don't realize just what it is h...
"Limits of Control" reminded me slightly of "Coffee and Cigarettes", only with two espressos (separate cups), matchbooks, and wooden string instruments, set in Spain. The film opens with the quote, "as I descend down impassable rivers, I no longer feel guided by the ferryman", and very little dialogue thereafter. "Usted habla espanol?", and "whenever someone thinks he is bigger than the rest of us, he must go to the cemetary", are repeatedly stat...

Four people awake in a derelict house with no memory of who they are or why they are there. All they know is that tonight, when they fall asleep they will forget everything again, so they have only a few hours to find out something – anything – about what or who is doing this to them. As they journey through a desolate, abandoned landscape they come to realise that this may all have happened before. And that they may be their own enemies. Blank is a existential, psychological thriller which explores the cycle of violence and retribution which comes from the failure to remember the lessons of the past. The film is inspired by Milan Kundera’s quote “the struggle of freedom against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting”. A post-apocalyptic thriller about suspicion, mistrust and fear which leads to a shocking conclusion, the film is a political parable of the dangers of forgetting lessons and repeating mistakes.

Something remarkable happened for the first time in Asia. 16 physically challenged persons wrote a new chapter in the history of the Asian soil. They participated in the “Beyond Belief expedition challenge”. In two nights and three days, they traversed through mountain paths, fording water bodies and navigating through forests infested with snakes and scorpions to prove to the world that those labeled “disable” are able and capable.
The expedition was to showcase their endurance power, skill and ability of the “differently able” persons. They went to the deep forests around the Garumara range in North Bengal, lived in camps and passed through areas that normal people would dread to dare.

The area is the habitat of king cobras, leopards, elephants… Pushing a wheel chair across shallow jungle rivulets tested human stamina to its limits.
This was an epic saga of man against elements… flesh against stone…a quiet communion with nature.
All about the insatiable urge of human beings to tread un-trodden grounds.
16 individuals ventured not to conquer mountains …. Forests …. and rivers… but to conquer themselves
Their odysseys – Beyond Belief.

Last night, Rhett Somers met the love of his life. Now all he has to do is convince her that she's the one. Not an easy feat considering how they met.
