Competition winners were announced this evening at the awards ceremony for the 6th Bahamas International Film Festival, held at the Balmoral Club in Nassau. The announcements were made by Festival Founder and Executive Director Leslie Vanderpool and BIFF jurors following a special career achievement event honoring Johnny Depp.

With the appointment of Cecilia Lidin as Head of EDN follows also a reorganisation of the EDN office and of the way EDN will be functioning. The daily running and strategic planning will be done in shared management between Lidin and EDN Network Manager Hanne Skjødt. It is always tempting for a filmmaker who takes on the thriller to emulate the great master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. In fact, the term "Hitchcockian" is as overused as it is complimentary.
