Short films dealing with identity robbery, its recognition and recovery,
and the personal and social consequences.
The Creators for Identity and Memory Association (ACIM) promotes
activities that denounce the robbery of identity, mainly when it affects
children. It is closely related with the Grandmothers of the Plaza de
Mayo Association. Its members organized de three cycles of Theater for
Identity-Catalunya.
Children abduction and forged identity were a systematic policy during
both the last Argentine military dictatorship, Spanish Franco’s regime
and other “the facto” governments.
ACIM considers that stolen identities should be restablished as this is
an inherent human right.
Sport is a form of pure art, an individualistic form of art. Even collective sports like football are art in themselves. Yes, sport is definitely an art – water jumps are so beautiful, archery as well. There is something else as well – collective sports like football, volleyball, basketball create a feeling of togetherness, commitment, family. Individual sports such as running, on the other hand, inspire you to challenge yourself every day. The goal off course is not to w...
The Observatory Archives are intentional in
nature and organized around specific themes, bringing together material
that supports a critique of contemporary culture through different
approaches such as video art, independent documentary and mass media
archeology.
Although the archives include many different kinds of works, they all
share a commitment to free expression, and reflect upon our individual
and collective fears and pleasures. Together, they create a multifaceted
vision, thousands of small eyes probing and exploring our world and
proclaiming other possible worlds. A discourse that values
heterogeneity, plurality, contradiction and subjectivity; an antidote to
the cloning and repetition of corporate mass media. In the 16 years of
OVNI's existence, the Observatory Archives have grown to include more
than 2000 projects.
