The 3rd edition of the London Taiwan Cinefest kicked off yesterday with a great buzz and numbers in attendance. The opening film is the small indie debut of both its' directors, Wang Yu-lin and Essay Liu (respectively also producer and writer). Taipei Film Festival announced the official selection of International New Talent Competition today (May 12). The 12 films selected from all over the world will compete for the Grand Prize and the Special Jury Prize of NT$ 900,000 (US$27000) in total.
