Walt Disney Studios confirmed recently that Brenda Chapman--hailed as the first woman to direct an animated film "Brave" for Pixar films has been replaced by a male director. Neither studio gave a reason for this change but Pixar has been criticized in the past for the lack of women behind the camera.
