user

For the sixth year in a row this festival educates domestic audience about Jewish culture and the Holocaust, and advocates multicultural dialogue and mutual values as the foundation for the successful coexistence in communities of people with different nationalities and religion. Museum of Broken Relationships: voted 'Coolest museum in Europe'!

For a timeout from movie watching, this is the cool new franchise of museums, The Museum of Broken Relationships. One can be found in the old town of Zagreb. What a great idea, seeing how each one of us has our own stories of broken hearts and broken relationships, with enough sad stories and remembrances to fill countless museums, Im sure.visit site here: http://new.brokenships.com/enphoto by VM

Zagreb time

Pandora and her Zagreb!

Pandora by J. W. Waterhouse  FANTASTIC ZAGREB FILM FESTIVAL was my first trip to Croatia’s comely capital. When I arrived, I had the fright of my life at 6:00am my first morning. My room was broken into by a creepy tall man and who knows what would have happened if I had not been awake at that early hour (jetlag!), if I had not been facing the door as he began opening it. Well, to make a long story short, nothing better than a hair-raising real life experience to start off an equal...

This year was the kick off to the new film festival FANTASTIC ZAGREB. I loved the statement of the festival directors so much but it could only be found in the film program so I have decided to share it with you here by transcribing it word for word. :-)Founders of the Fantastic Zagreb Film Festival statement:"WELCOME...From Paris to Tokyo, from Berlin to Toronto, from Venice and Cannes to Abu Dhabi, Stockholm and Porto... We traveled half way around the world, visited numerous film festi...

sunrise in Zagreb

Yet another sunrise over this gorgeous city. Of course since its an all night fest I would arrive at my room (this is a view from my room) in the wee hours and stay up to watch the sunrise. Ahhh! Zagreb! The sun like an egg yoke splitting over the night sky. photo by Vanessa McMahon

Fantastic Zagreb founders!

Fantastic Zagreb founders Stjepan Hundic and Mia Pecina sit atop an outlook of their beloved city, Zagreb. They have reason to smile as year ZERO kick-off for this new fantastical fest has been a smash hi among locals and foreign visitors alike. Cannot wait for next year!!!photo by Vanessa McMahon

Graveyard, Zagreb!

Nothing completes a week of fantastical horror and thriller movies and the feeling of Halloween in July like a tour through the royal cemetery. We should should have done it at night but the colors would not have been so vivid. What a beautiful place to rest. Only at Fantastic Zagreb! Here, the grand tomb of an ex-president.photo by Vanessa McMahon
