The Hollywood Divine International Film Festival is dedicated to enriching the community and bridging cultures through the spirituality, education and promotion of the arts through independent film.
We, at Hollywood Divine, with the help of our heavenly father, want to make a big change and we are hoping you can help us with that.
There are many Christian artists out there looking for an outlet to spread the light of God through their God given gift of artistry. There are also many Christian people out there looking to appreciate art that celebrates their relationship with Christ.
We at Hollywood Divine want to be the catalyst for that change. A change that will, at least, balance out the darkness spread by mainstream Hollywood and the music industry, and give independent Christian filmmakers and musicians the chance to build their ministries by displaying their art to the world.
We believe that creating art, in any form, is a reflection of the ultimate creator. It’s one of the best ways to praise God and share his infinite love with the world. We ask you to please consider joining us on this journey.

Paul Harrod says one of his favorite sculptors is August Rodin. It’s not a name you’d imagine getting love from the Portland co-production designer of Wes Anderson’s stop-motion animation Isle of Dogs. But considering that the visuals of this phantasmagoria jointly styled with Adam Stockhausen are a breakthrough in the art form, it’s no wonder the virtuosity behind them involved the study of a master.
Harrod’s more direct influences came from stop-motio...

The journey may not yet even be half over, but Ru Kuwahata and Max Porter are already nearing a creative summit of sorts. Eight months into what has already been an extensive, awards-filled festival run with no foreseeable end on the horizon, the couple’s animated short “Negative Space” was recently nominated for an Oscar in that category by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Hello, all!
I am currently developing a short animated musical film with a lot of Cow-reography, tentatively titled "Barn Dance".
If the story stands (and dances!) on its own, maybe even makes some headway in festivals, I am hoping to milk that for all it is worth--to get permission to use a specific piece of music. If that doesn't work, I can come up with some music on my own or enlist help, but it was written with one song in mind.
Please check out the attached script.&n...
A scrolling band of carnelian clouds circling clockwise, a boy in an Afghani folk costume swirling within, a radiant beam at the center: The opening frames of Nora Twomey’s animated film The Breadwinner tell a tale of light and shadow, conjuring dream imagery of the pyche’s quest towards wholeness in the larger world. In case you haven’t guessed, we’re in the realm of universal truth, seen from toon-spun Afghanistan.
The allegory quickly blossoms into...
