To celebrate its 40th anniversary the Montreal World Film Festival is introducing a GOLDEN CHELEMof World Cinema: $1 million (US) in cash prizes will be added to the awards for its competitive sections. Plymouth short film festival taking place at the Plymouth Arts Centre on 13-th 15th May 2016.
Showcasing a selection of the best short films from both local and national filmmaking talent, the Plymouth film festival is a chance to come and watch some amazing short films, and for filmmakers to showcase their work and be rewarded and recognised for it. We are now accepting submissions, please see awards for details of categories and eligibility.
Our 2016 event will once again encorporate the prestigious Roger Deakins Award along with Panel Q+A's and a two-part workshop with Chris Jones, author of the best-selling Guerilla Filmmaking Guides. More information about What's On and Ticket Sales can be found on our website.

The 9th annual festival will be held from May 1-3 for three days of short films, socializing and great prizes. There will be a $1000 grand prize for best short, as well as individual category prizes.
Short films of any genre are accepted and must be 41 minutes in length or less. Submissions must be made on NTSC DVD or VHS. Submission deadlines are as follows:
Accommodations will be provided to screening filmmakers on a first-come-first-served basis!
