"Games People Play", the latest film from Ron de Cana Productions, Inc. and writer/director Dawn Westlake, will have its world premiere at the Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Fest in Waterville (County Kerry), Ireland on August 22, 2014. Starring Westlake, David Razowsky, and Mark Jacobson, the film was shot on the Canon C500 by Jon Carr. Torremolinos International Fantastic Film Festival has become in a few years in one the most important events at Costa del Sol (Spain). Place in the Torremolinos' exhibition and conference centre: theaters with 480 and 920 people capacity. Organized by the Cultural Association "Cinefans", the festival it's now a reference of innovate and transgresive ideas. It starts at Halloween (with its own Halloween night) and it lasts 10 days: galas, shows, cosplay, horror movies marathons, lecture, concerts, charitable sessions, guests and honored films for their anniversary.
This cultural project takes place in Godella (Valencia, Spain)

The Wicked West Film Fest 2011 is being held in conjuction with the Zombie Precinct Haunted Attraction taking place in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada in October, 2011 within the new Fremont ( "Screamont") East Entertainment District. There will celebrity appearances, awards, and other related activities. It will be the first horror film fest to take place in downtown, which is pretty scary in itself.  There will be a monstrous amount of press. Only horror and scifi genre films will be accepted. No gratuitous or overly explicit sex scenes.
HorrorQuest is a Independent Film Festival with no entry fee. It is our goal to create an annual event where everyone can have a creative outlet for their artistic expression.
HorrorQuest will be held at Cinefest Film Theatre October, 24-26 2014 in Atlanta Georgia . All screenings and events are FREE and open to the public.
HorrorQuest accepts all kinds of submission, not just "Horror". We are a Horror/Genre festival and you may submit any of the following types of films.

The modern age of digital filmmaking has flooded the market with tons
of films, one seemingly indistinguishable from the next. The depth and
breadth of horror fandom, combined with the rapid growth of independent
filmmaking, have led to an explosion in indie films dealing with the
terrifying, macabre, gory, and bizarre.
The Buried Alive Film Fest of Atlanta is your chance to prove your
film’s worth. No matter if it’s feature-length or shortform, a slasher
or a ghost story, a zombie flick or a horror comedy, a suspenseful
thriller or a horror documentary, all films in this exciting and growing
genre are welcome. Our staff and judges come from across the local
horror community, and with their discerning eyes can truly decide what
should remain buried and what should be unearthed.

A remote mental institution next to the Russian border was shut down by the police in the early 70´s. Dr. Andersson made series of snuff films using his patients. The Doctor filmed all the murders in 8mm and started to call himself the Auteur.
30 years later a small American film crew has arrived to Finland to shoot a horror movie about the massacre. The movie’s director, Steven, is engaged in his first feature with his DoP Darius and gaffer Mike from LA. The leading actress is a Finnish rising star Lisa, who’s dreaming about Hollywood. Dr. Andersson is played by a famous B-movie actor with a big ego.
Everything is going according to plan until two Finnish sound guys discover something evil hidden in the basement: the original snuff films shot by the Auteur.
Steven is stimulated by the raw and brutal snuff film material and starts to rewrite the script. The scenes are not real enough. Everything changes when he finds The Auteur’s 8mm film camera. Now he is ready to shoot his masterpiece, the film for which he will be remembered.
Soon the crew realizes that they are the stars of the film. Instead of making a horror film, they are in one. The Auteur is slaying the Skeleton Crew one by one. There´s no sequel for you!
Monday, October 30----When your film festival falls over Halloween, I guess it is expected that you need to throw in a little "scare" into the proceedings.
