Marseille
"terroir" has been accepted to the 33rd Festival Les Instants Video in Marseille, France for November 15, 2020. This is the 40th selection for the film made in late 2019.
"terroir" is a musical documentary about the mother-child relationship and how it can sometimes influence our perceptions of very capable female leaders in all sectors of society. Helmed/written and produced by Dawn Westlake under her Ron de Cana Prods, Inc. shingle, the film was shot by Pol Carrizo Vilarro...
30 years that our desires are disorders
30 years that we break through cultural, social and economic barriers
30 years that together with the artists, we draw escape plans
30 years that we forge networks of international poetic and political complicities
We are celebrating therefore in 2017, 30 years of poelitic intercontinental video agitations in 30 events without borders (Tunisia, Morocco, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Argentina, Italy, France…) and in a completely undisciplined way (art spaces, social spaces…)…
This dis-oriented tour will arrive safe and sound in November in Marseille: our home base and our launchpad.

Every year in early July, the FIDMarseille —Marseille’s International Film Festival— presided by Paul Otchakovsky-Laurens and directed by Jean-Pierre Rehm, proposes a programme of 130 films to approximately 23,000 spectators, in cinemas, theaters, libraries, art galleries, and in open-air amphitheaters throughout the city. The festival presents a large number of films in their world premiere as well as first films. Today, the FIDMarseille is recognized as a source of new cinemas, both documentary productions as well as fiction films.
In addition, the FIDMarseille organizes the FIDLab, a support platform for international co-production; the FIDCampus, a training workshop for Mediterranean students; and numerous, offsite screenings throughout the year.
