"From On High" has been accepted to the 26th annual Fesancor Film Festival in Santiago, Chile for October 22-29, 2018 and to Festival de Cine de Tres Passos in Tres Passos, Brazil for November 6-10, 2018. "From On High" will have its South American premiere with Censurados Film Festival in Lima, Peru from April 21-May 27, 2018. It plays the University of Lima on April 25th and Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas on May 9th.
"From On High" is about a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe. It just won MEJOR CORTO/CATEGORIA EUROPEA at the Muestra International de Cortos de Solidario y Sensibilizacion, put on by ONG Mision Humanitaria in Ciudad Real, Spain.

"Through the Pane" has been selected to play in El Saman de Festicine in Viterbo-Caldas, Colombia October 13-16, 2016. This is the 35th selection for "Through the Pane".
Helmed and written by Dawn Westlake, the film is based on a memoir chapter by her father, Donald G. Westlake. It addresses his cosmic acceptance of his wife's death four years ago. They were very happily married for 62 years.

"Through the Pane" had its South American premiere at the Arraial Cine Fest in Porto Seguro, Brazil on February 29th, 2016. Written and helmed by Dawn Westlake, based on a memoir chapter by her father, Donald G. Westlake, the film was shot and edited by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. The original score is by Alvarez-featured guitarist GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs.

"Games People Play" has been selected to the 23rd annual Festival Chileno Internacional de Cortometrajes de Santiago for October 19-26, 2015. The festival office received over 2500 entries. "Games People Play" was one of only two US films to be chosen for the international section. Written and helmed by Dawn Westlake, the film stars David Razowsky, Mark Jacobson and Westlake, herself. Breaking news from Peru! Ron de Cana Productions' "Games People Play" will also play the FENACO International Film Festival in Cusco, Peru November 12-15, 2014. Earlier, it had been announced that Ron de Cana's "The Martini Effect" would be presented in this year's international competition. With two films vying for prizes, director/producer/writer Dawn Westlake will be in attendance at the festival.

More good news from South America for Ron de Cana Productions' "Found Objects", directed by Dawn Westlake! The film will play El Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes (FENACO) in Cusco, Peru November 13-16, 2013. This is the 13th festival acceptance for "Found Objects". The film was shot by Brandon Bondehagen on Canon's C300. It was scored by Gregory Johnson of Acoustic Labs.

1.-The primary objective of the GUANAJUATO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is to provide more opportunities for the exhibition and appreciation of films, rewarding their quality so as to allow the artists to continue producing film. At the same time, we hope to bring together newcomers alongside the industry's most seasoned professionals, combining forces in a very open, accessible and competitive environment.

"Covariance" will play in the Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Cusco on November 19th, 2011 in Sala Banderas in the Palacio Municipal of Cusco. The film was written, produced and directed by Dawn Westlake. Westlake's 2010 film "A.L.I.C.E." was also accepted to the festival and will screen there on November 17th.

ENTWICKLUNGSPOLITISCHE FILMTAGE LINZ is
a yearly organised festival. The (Upper)Austrian festival
concentrates on a yearly changing country of interest and tries to
introduce them "with all senses". Beside movies
(documentary, featrures, shorts) the festival offers special cuisine,
cultural framework program, lectures and discussions. All focusing on
the country of interest.
The festival is open to the public.
