«BRIDGES» PELOPONNESSIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL  was established in 2008 in the framework of celebrations of 150 years of the foundation of Corinth. It was held Under the Auspices of Ministry of Transport and Communications in Greece and was organized in cooperation with the Cultural Centre of Corinth.

Program

In order to be able to accommodate the needs of the vast number of cinephiles and cinemagoers of Peloponnese, which has proved to be big and varied during past organizations, this year`s festival edition has created Special theme screenings as the «World Cinema – Bridges» section. As the BRIDGES Peloponnesian International Film festival concurs several times with the International Day of People with Disability, a part of our screenings is dedicated to films about human disabilities, under the symbolic title «We can do». Other special categories are «Films made by Women», «World Cinema» and «Nostimon Imar»(films made by filmmakers of Diaspora). Furthermore, the audience will have the unique opportunity to watch films by upcoming filmmakers premiering in the festival. Some of the most outstanding feature films created recently are going to compete for the festival`s Grand Prize «Golden Pegasus», which is going to be given to the film indicated by an internationally acclaimed Jury of cinema professionals.

The HKIFF is one of Asia’s most reputable platforms for filmmakers, film professionals and filmgoers from all over the world to launch new works and experience outstanding films.

Screening over 280 titles from more than 50 countries in 11 major cultural venues across the territory, the Festival is Hong Kong’s largest cultural event that reaches an audience of over 600,000, including 5,000 business executives who attend the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART), a concurrent event of the HKIFF.

Committed to discovering new talent, the Festival premieres the breadth of Chinese cinema and showcases Asian talents. As a lifestyle event, festival-goers can enjoy world-class films, attend seminars hosted by leading filmmakers from around the world, visit film exhibitions, join celebration parties, and more.

The Festival draws extensive media coverage from over 500 local and international press members and continues to grow in importance as one of the premier platforms to launch films in Asia.

The Spirit Quest Film Festival has opened their call for entries for their 2012 season and is currently seeking inspirational, thought provoking and intriguing films and screenplays from around the world.

Created and maintained by film festival veterans with deep ties within the industry, Spirit Quest hopes to provide submitting filmmakers and screenwriters with the exposure and attention they deserve for all of their hard work.

We're looking for anything that will move us, make us laugh, cry and learn something about ourselves and the world we inhabit in the process.

We hope to inspire, enlighten and challenge our audiences by showcasing films and awarding screenplays that explore the best (and sometimes the worst) of the human experience.

Films and stories of faith, courage and success, that celebrate and explore our diversity, our planet and our politics. From introspective meditations on relationships, to mind boggling journeys to far away places and anything in between – share your vision with us.

All genres accepted - dramas, documentaries, comedies, animation, music videos and any film dealing with the above themes.  There is even a special category for young filmmakers under the age of 18 this season.

Awards will be presented to the Best Films and Screenplays.
