JarRing Movie

If a serial killer wrote poetry, how would it sound? If youaccidentally dialed a wrong number and got the following message, would youcall again?

Everyone wears themask of sanity simply because it is part of their vanity. They say it’s ill tokill. But who are they? Put to death. Deprive of life. Rule out. Delete, erase.Ah, you have no clue. No money, no power, no pull. I veto your bill. I thwartyour finale. I dress to kill. I’m on top of my game. You can’t. You can’t. Youjust simply can’t. Distinguish my name. Extinguish my flame. So I asked Jackand he had to rip. Ed had no gain. What a trip; to have killed in vain. Kennywas white, Angelo good, someone’s always watching. You know you should, would, could?

You’d keep calling to hear thenext one, wouldn’t you?

Thus opens JarRing, asuspense/horror film about four friends who discover a phone number with bizarrevoice messages which turn out to be recorded by a serial killer.

After calling the number fortheir daily dose of perverted poetry, the two young females, Ariana and Randi, disappear. This prompts the two protagonists, Theo and Sean, into a search fortheir missing friends.

Their quest leads them outsidetheir comfort zone of lavish Miami living and into the dark world ofafter-hours Homestead, a sleepy, rural community in Florida’s Deep South, theyencounter strange new locales and individuals while being terrorized by aseries of phone calls, text messages and riddles.

Meanwhile, as Theo and Sean are beingsystematically stripped of all their “safety” devices, cell phones, money, andcar, the story switches to a group of legal volunteers.  They are working on a last minute questto free an innocent man from death row, when they uncover similarities in hiscase to a case of serial murders committed in the area some years back.

With eerie references to themurders hidden in the messages one can’t help but wonder if these cases arepossibly connected? Is the real serial killer free and playing mind games withthe protagonists? Have they become the next chosen victims?

All these questions are answeredin a surprising and unsettling finale.
